Digital Technology to Provide Psychological Support SBRI Competition

NHS Scotland is seeking innovative solutions to provide psychological support to children and young people with gastrointestinal symptoms but no underlying medical disease, to increase availability of care at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.

Successful applicants will receive 100% funding and have access to advice from NHS Grampian.

This is phase 1 of a potential 2-phase SBRI competition. A decision to proceed with phase 2 will depend on the outcomes from phase 1.

Total funds for the competition are £345,000.  Up to £50,000 (inc. VAT) is allocated to phase 1, and up to £295,000, for phase 2 contracts. It is anticipated that phase 1 projects are in the region of up to £10,000 (inc VAT) and last up to 3 months. The expected start date of the phase 1 projects is 21 October 2020.

Note that only applicants who have been selected to participate in phase 1 will be invited to tender for phase 2 contracts.

The competition opens on 20 July 2020 and a online briefing event will be held on 4 August 2020.
