The Scottish Government Shared Services programme is looking to engage with the market on options to transform the provision of shared services in government.
We currently deploy separate Oracle eBusiness Suite solutions for HR/Payroll and Finance. This enables the delivery of services to core Government Directorates and their employees and also a range of Executive Agencies and Non Departmental Public Bodies.
The Scottish Government is about to embark on a transformation of its corporate services to a customer focused shared service organisation, and is potentially looking for a single, integrated cloud ERP solution to enable this transformation. We are, however, open to other solutions that may assist with delivering a modern, digitally enabled Shared Services provision that is safe, secure, accessible and scalable. This will initially provide services for approximately 13,000 employees but will require the ability to rapidly onboard other organisations.
A bidder session has been scheduled for 9 March 2021, 10.00 – 13.00. Places on this session can be booked through Eventbrite.
The event will be held online so there are no limits to the number of individuals that can register from an organisation.
At the event the programme team will take you through work to date and the standards that will be applied which include:
• Finance Global Design Principles
• Global HR Design Principles
• The Government Data Quality Framework
• Digital Scotland Service Standard
There will be an opportunity to ask questions both during the session and for a period afterwards.
Further information can also be found in the Prior Information Notice (PIN) that was published w/c 15 February through Public Contracts Scotland.
Please come along to hear more about this programme and to help us transform our shared services.
