Business Fours has now launched.  Scotland’s national business golf tournament teed off last month at Craigielaw Golf club and will return there on April 26th for the Technology & IT qualifier.  Companies like Craneware, Pulsant, Brodies, HGF, CityFibre to name but a few will take part to win their place at the national final at St Andrews in May.

Building on the success of the national five-a-side tournament, Business Fives which has been supported since inception by ScotlandIS and raised over £5,500 for charity partners in the process.  Business Fours tees off with the distinct aim of bringing companies across Scotland closer together with a unique networking formula whilst raising money for charity.

Maintaining a company commitment to donating ten percent of all proceeds to charity Business Fours is working with charity partners the Yard in Edinburgh and Beatson Cancer Charity in Glasgow.

Chief Executive of The Yard, Celine Sinclair, said: “We are delighted to have the support of Business Fours and would encourage local businesses to get involved with this fantastic tournament. The Yard will greatly benefit from your generosity, which will enable us to support more disabled children, young people and their families through our adventure play services in Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife.”

The founder has already forged some fantastic links with industry partners like the Scottish Property Federation, Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and long term supporters ScotlandIS for the Technology & IT heats.  Karen Meechan, Head of Operations at ScotlandIS said “ScotlandIS is delighted to partner with Business Fours for its first national business golf tournament.  This tournament offers the tech sector the chance to shut their laptops and stretch their legs on the fairways of Craigielaw, while supporting two excellent causes.”

Dawn Ferguson, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Beatson Cancer Charity said: “Beatson Cancer Charity is delighted to be chosen as a charity partner of Business Fours. This is a fantastic partnership and I’d like to send my sincere thanks to everyone involved for their commitment to Beatson Cancer Charity. The generosity of the golfers will have a direct impact on thousands of cancer patients and their families, both now and in the future, through the dedicated work of the charity.”

The Technology & IT heat is the last of 4 industry qualifiers taking place across Scotland’s east and west coasts enabling companies to meet other likeminded professionals in a relaxed environment.

The Technology & IT heat takes place at the stunning Craigielaw Golf Club, located on Scotland’s golf coast in East Lothian on April 26th.  The west coast heats are being held at this year’s Scottish Open venue, Dundonald Links ahead of the national final at St Andrews Fairmont on May 24th
