Women in Tech Aberdeen, a leading advocate for diversity and inclusion in the Tech industry in the North East, is thrilled to announce its upcoming informal networking event for Women in Tech.
The event is scheduled to take place on January 25th, at ONE Tech Hub, and promises an evening of networking, camaraderie, and insightful conversations.
The networking event will commence at 6pm, featuring an inviting atmosphere with refreshments and light bites. It is tailored for women across all levels of the Tech industry, providing a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals.
Caroline Laurenson, Managing Director of TL Tech and leading force in the Women In Tech Aberdeen committee explained: “The Tech industry is constantly evolving, and our networking event aims to foster connections and empower women in Tech. It’s not just an opportunity to expand your professional network but also a chance to engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences, and inspire one another. It provides a safe space to learn, grow and get inspired with like-minded women”.

Jennifer Taylor from Consortiq is keen that women from across the North East can showcase their skills and share their experiences, explaining that “Future events will focus on different tech-related topics with community members, special guests and speakers providing inspirational and thought-provoking talks.
We have an exciting line up for 2024, ranging from networking, mentorship opportunities, skills showcases, fireside chats across topics like Women in Wearables, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Tech, Energy Sector Technology and Cybersecurity.”
The upcoming January 25th launch event at ONE Tech Hub promises to be an energising restart for the group. All local women in or interested in Tech are welcome to attend and get involved.
