Law firm Addleshaw Goddard has reported strong growth in Scotland and has confirmed it is looking to relocate two of its offices.
Income in Scotland grew 17% in the year to April, the seventh consecutive year of double-digit growth, against a 12% increase to £495.6m across the practice. Total profit was 14% higher at £210.5m.
The Scottish practice, which has 300 staff across offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, hired 12 partners including 10 from other firms.
Alan Shanks, the head of Scotland, said the firm is looking at moving offices in both Glasgow and Edinburgh to accommodate its growth.
He highlighted corporate, real estate, disputes and global Investigations as having a particularly successful year, as well as infrastructure, projects and energy, where the team has added another four partners making it the largest in Scotland.
He added: “These results mark another excellent year for Addleshaw Goddard as the firm has once again achieved significant success across all markets, with our performance in Scotland contributing strongly to that success.
“We have ambitious plans for Scotland.”
