The Scottish Government is supporting Displaced Talent Mobility.

Displaced Talent Mobility supports individuals displaced in refugee circumstances to come to the UK through the Skilled Worker route as a complementary option to existing asylum and resettlement schemes.

The pilot aims to identify and address the administrative and legal barriers that forcibly displaced job seekers face when looking to move internationally as skilled workers. The organisation uses existing skilled migration routes to assist displaced people through an online Talent Catalogue that facilitates employer access to talent and skills in these refugee and displaced populations. Around 40,000 skilled workers are currently registered. The model is employer led, and the organisation matches skilled individuals with relevant employers.

With Scottish Government funding and support, TBB are looking to skills match individuals with prospective Scottish employers and aim to place at least 50 people in Scotland. Under the pilot, employers who hire through remote recruitment, will be able to sponsor TBB candidates through the Skilled Worker Route.
