This week saw the latest meeting of the Scottish Cluster Ecosystem Alliance (SCEA), set up by ScotlandIS last year to bring together representatives from across the tech sector such as fintech, space, mobility, cyber, data and many more.
Collectively, SCEA participants have a huge network of associated members and stakeholders, therefore there are also greater opportunities for sharing and cross-promoting activities and initiatives to our networks, to encourage increased engagement and participation from a wider section of the tech industry.
SCEA members present at this meeting included Scottish Games Network, Traveltech for Scotland, Space Scotland, Fintech Scotland, Tech for Good, MaaS, CENSIS and ScotlandIS Cyber.
Brian Baglow of the Scottish Games Network kicked off the meeting by presenting insights on the size and challenges of establishing the gaming clusters and engaging the gaming sector. Brian also highlighted the gaming festival he is organising for October which looks to involve the other clusters (details to be shared with our networks soon).
Other SCEA clusters highlighted their upcoming events, which will be shared on ScotlandIS channels, and Josh Ryan-Saha of Traveltech for Scotland raised a question for future meetings on how best to support cluster companies to embrace new technologies.
We look forward to our next gathering of the Scottish Cluster Ecosystem Alliance to continue our knowledge sharing and exploring new ways of collaboration.
