In this ScotlandIS member spotlight, we welcome new Business member Prosperity 24/7. Read the case study below to find out more about Prosperity and why they joined ScotlandIS.

Who is Prosperity 24/7, and what do you do?

Prosperity24/7 is a fast growing business and technology consultancy practice, serving the local and global marketplace. We accelerate digital and business transformation through effective change management and technology solutions, enabling our clients to deliver excellence and build trust in the services they provide to their customers.

Founded in 2011 and employing over 65 great minds in Edinburgh, Jersey and Guernsey, our simple philosophy is if we do our best to help each other, by looking after our clients, our colleagues and our community, then we can all prosper.

Tell us something unique or interesting about yourselves.

Prosperity 24/7 takes a people first approach to change and implementation of any new technology or process. For us, delivering solutions that work the way people work and helping our clients adapt to a new way of working ensures success.  It is not just about investing in new technology but ensuring that we bring everyone with us on the change journey.  Demonstrating not only the ‘art of the possible’ but also the return on investment enabling our clients to remain competitive and ensure their teams are skilled and able.

What is your biggest achievement as an organisation?

Prosperity’s most important achievement to date has been the implementation of the Government of Jersey’s Track and Trace system during the Covid-19 pandemic. With time against us we set up Jersey’s core Track and Trace platform using Dynamics 365, PowerBI, Azure Data Lake, and Microsoft Office. Using these tools, the Track and Trace team were able to liaise with every known positive case, their contacts and interactions. This robust technology, visualisation tools and dashboards supported critical decision making, while protecting the Island’s community.

What prompted you to become a member of ScotlandIS?

At Prosperity our role is to make life easier through a people first approach to new technology and strategic change. ScotlandIS is at the heart of Scotland’s digital economy, helping its members and partners drive forward digital transformation for business and society.

We’re excited to add our expertise to the great minds of the ScotlandIS community and connect with other members, to emphasise the importance of embracing new technology for positive change, collaboration and productivity, so we can all prosper.

What do you see as the main challenges for the tech industry in the UK and Scotland?

2024 has been the year of AI.  With the fastest adoption rate of any new technology in history, it has already dramatically changed the way we do things.  More accessible AI unlocks a new wave of productivity growth, rids us of many repetitive tasks and allows us more freedom to be creative.  But with it comes business risks.  It needs to be effectively implemented from a people and operational perspective to realise the positive impacts to collaboration and productivity, while ensuring you are protected from unauthorised data leakage, inappropriate data access and other risks associated with this emerging technology.

Coupled with a backdrop of a world still on heightened alert and increased cyber threats, the need for business to be prepared from both a cybersecurity and AI perspective to protect data and privacy is one of the most critical factors.  Digitalisation and interconnectedness has not only brought benefits to how we operate, but it has also increased threats and given cyber criminals new and inventive ways to access our data for malicious purposes.
