Scotland’s AI Strategy has been launched today, commissioned by the Scottish Government, to ensure that Scotland realises the potential of artificial intelligence.
With Scotland’s strength as a destination for the tech industry, its vibrant start-up ecosystem and world class universities, a co-ordinated AI strategy is needed to ensure this sector develops and thrives.
Recognising its strengths whilst considering its size and resources, Scotland can emerge as a world leader in the application and deployment of AI by taking a citizen focus – how AI and Data can benefit the citizens of Scotland and the world, whilst also enabling economic growth.

The launch event takes place today at 11:30am, hosted by Nick Kwek of BBC Click and featuring a range of speakers from industry and government. Registrations for the event are now closed, however there will be a recording available after on the Scotland AI Strategy website.
