ScotlandIS Cyber has become part of cyber cluster platform, Global EPIC.
Global Ecosystems Partnership in Innovation and Cybersecurity (Global EPIC) is an ecosystem of cyber clusters and innovation partners. It has an aim of facilitating global collaboration among cybersecurity ecosystems to create positive local impact.
The role of Global EPIC is to co-create and adopt world-changing solutions to high-impact cybersecurity challenges, both current and emergent. It brings together cybersecurity keystones globally to collaborate on cybersecurity challenges, while also focusing on local economic development.
Being part of Global EPIC allows ScotlandIS Cyber to promote the work of the Scottish Cyber cluster internationally, collaborating and partnering with Global EPIC members. There are currently 34 different members with representatives from Canada, Israel, Australia, USA, Europe and beyond.
ScotlandIS Cyber will be able to provide access and make introductions to key organisations within each of the member countries, facilitating the access to these communities and ecosystems for our cluster companies.
Global EPIC Soft Landing, which is supported by some of the members, provides a hot-desk and introduction service to help companies quickly establish themselves into those communities.
Katie Stebbins, President of Global Epic, commented: “Global Epic is excited to welcome ScotlandIS Cyber to our membership. Scotland’s investment in the cybersecurity economy is a key foundational ingredient to their continued success in the digital economy at large. Investments like Scotland’s contribute to a thriving global cybersecurity marketplace for talent, R&D, and startups that we all benefit from.”
