Bidders are invited to submit proposals to the ARCHIVER pre-commercial procurement.
The ARCHIVER (Archiving and Preservation for Research Environments) aims to introduce radical improvements in the area of archiving and digital preservation services to support the IT requirements of EU scientists and provide end-to-end services for data generated in the context of scientific research.
Leading research organisations CERN, EMBL, DESY and IFAE-PIC have come together to form a consortia that will be acting as the procurer for this exercise.
The procurement process has been divided in three phases:
- Phase 1 – solution design
- Phase 2 – prototype implementation
- Phase 3 – pilot deployment
The total budget is €3.4m.
The present tender is for phase 1 only where a minimum of five contracts of up to €85,000 each are anticipated.
Note that only contractors who have been selected to participate in phase 1 will be invited to tender for phase 2 contracts.
